Welliverse
UX/UI DESIGN · WELLNESS TECHNOLOGY · DATA VISUALIZATION · GAMIFICATION
A gamified wellness dashboard that brings hydration, nutrition, activity, and personal progress into one connected experience.
Role: UX/UI Designer
Duration: 8 weeks
Platform: iPad
Tools: Figma & Miro

CHALLENGE
Maintaining consistent wellness routines becomes difficult when hydration, nutrition, and activity are tracked across disconnected tools. Busy users need a clear way to understand their daily progress without being overwhelmed by health data or repetitive logging.
FRAGMENTED TRACKING
Hydration, nutrition, and
dataare often spread
across tools.
LOW MOTIVATION
Repetitive logging and
delayed feedback make
healthy routines difficult
to sustain.
DATA OVERLOAD
Dense health information
can make daily progress
difficult to understand
at a glance.
How might one connected dashboard make wellness progress easier to understand
while using gamification to support motivation without creating pressure?
INSIGHTS
The research combined competitor analysis, user personas, behavioural theory, data-visualization principles, and immersive-platform reviews to identify user needs and guide the design direction.

Review
Research focused on young professionals who struggle to maintain hydration, nutrition, and activity routines during busy workdays. The findings highlighted three recurring needs: consolidated tracking, visible progress, and motivation that supports consistency without creating pressure.

Emma represents busy users who need simple progress tracking, personalised goals, and motivational feedback without switching between separate apps.
CONSOLIDATED
TRACKING
Users need hydration,
nutrition, and activity data
in one place.
VISIBLE PROGRESS
Graphs, summaries, and
progress indicators make
wellness data easier
to understand.
GENTLE MOTIVATION
Badges, streaks, and
challenges can encourage
consistency without
adding competition.
PROCESS
The design process moved from research and problem definition to ideation, prototyping, and refinement. Each stage helped translate user needs into a clearer, more engaging wellness experience.

User Flow

The home dashboard became the central navigation point, connecting daily tracking, challenges, achievements, profile information, and long-term analytics within one clear structure.
Wireframes
Early wireframes focused on information hierarchy, navigation, and the relationship between summary data and detailed tracking. Daily progress remained visible on the home screen while each wellness area could be explored separately.

A calm blue-grey foundation was paired with yellow, green, and purple accents to distinguish actions, progress states, and wellness categories while keeping dense dashboard information approachable.
SOLUTION
The final solution brings hydration, nutrition, activity, and personal progress into one connected iPad experience. The interface combines dashboard-based tracking, clear data visualisation, and gamified feedback to help users build healthier routines without feeling overwhelmed.

The home dashboard acts as the central entry point, giving users an overview of daily progress, key metrics, and quick access to core wellness areas

Meal cards and macro summaries
make nutrition data easier to
scan and compare.

Daily and weekly progress views
help users monitor intake
patterns with minimal effort.

Activity tracking highlights
consistency and supports quick
review of movement habits.

Profile

Badge
Gamification was designed through challenges, badges, and visible progress markers that reward consistency without introducing pressure or competition.

The analytics dashboard translates long-term wellness data into readable visual patterns, helping users reflect on habits over time.
OUTCOME
The final prototype brought hydration, nutrition, activity tracking, gamified progress, and long-term wellness insights into one connected iPad experience. The result is a coherent system that makes daily health data easier to understand while supporting motivation through achievable goals, badges, and visible progress.
#1 Connected Experience
Hydration, nutrition,
activity,challenges, and
analytics are brought into
one coherent system.
#2 Clearer Progress
Dashboards and visual
indicators make daily and
long-term wellness patterns
easier to understand.
#3 Personal Motivation
Badges, streaks, and
challenges support
consistency without
relying on competition.
REFLECTION
WelliVerse was my thesis project and my first opportunity to lead an end-to-end product concept independently. I was responsible for shaping the research direction, defining the user experience, building the visual system, and developing the final interactive prototype. Without an existing product team or framework, I had to create my own structure, make key design decisions, and trust my judgement throughout the process. Balancing academic depth with practical usability was challenging, but it taught me how to turn complex research into a clear, engaging, and coherent digital experience.
